In-12, olive morocco, framed fillets and roulettes with small corner fleurons, in the center and in the middles, ornate smooth spine, gilt edges (18th century binding). Brunet, I-1455 / Willems, 420 /// (12f.)-561-35f. Line-for-line reprint of the first printing of this edition of Julius Caesar's commentaries, with comments by Joseph Juste Scaliger, which Brunet considers one of the finest and rarest in the Elzeviers collection. A copper-engraved frontispiece, a medallion portrait, 5 full-page woodcuts and 3 fold-out maps. Spine faded and maps a little badly folded.
