First edition with 2 original etchings in black and 46 watercolors in text by André Dunoyer de Segonzac, including 14 double-page and 14 full-page etchings. The last book written by Léon-Paul Fargue, inspired by Dunoyer de Segonzac's watercolors, which he had painted on the beaches of Saint-Tropez between the wars. The title was found by Thérèse Dorny, who one day exclaimed in front of the bodies lying on the burning sand, grilled in the sun: Côtes rôties. Limited edition of 252 copies on Arches (no. 230).
