In-4, old rose box, large white box mosaic lily on covers with multiple vertical gilt fillets on both sides, ornate smooth spine, lining and endpapers in flesh box with semé of small palladium circles and gilt dashes, gilt edges on witnesses, cover and spine, half-box folder with overlaps, slipcase (G. Cretté). Monod, I-3408 /// (1f.)-VIII-110-(1f.) Two-column bilingual text with translation by Henry Cochin. Illustrations in the text by Maurice Denis, wood-engraved in color by Jacques, Camille and Georges Beltrand, including the frontispiece, one full-page and 30 in the text, and 94 ornaments (vignettes, entablature, lettering, etc.). Limited edition of 130 copies, all on Rives laid paper, this one printed for Madame Bartet (no. 20). A very fine copy.
