Vicaire, VII-42 /// LVI-458-(7f.) The most attractive edition of Paul et Virginie, with 29 out-of-text woodcuts, 7 steel-engraved portraits, a map and 450 woodcut illustrations in the text by Johannot, Meissonier, Français, Huet... Copy at the address 49 rue Richelieu with the uncaptioned portraits and the Bonne femme. A fine copy with unavoidable light spotting on a few leaves. The work is very rarely found in perfect condition.
