CHINA Large round porcelain oille pot with polychrome decoration in famille rose enamels of large bunches of flowers in the Meissen style, the lid in the form of a fruit with a gold background. 18th century, Qianlong period (1735-1796), circa 1760. D. 31 cm, H. 26 cm. Some gold wear on the grip, crack on the rim. Bibliography Christie's Pictorial History of Chinese Ceramics, A. du Boulay, Oxford 1984,p. 281, fig. 12 for a comparable model. This lot is a temporary import. The buyer must pay import charges of 5.5% (6.6% incl. VAT) of the hammer price, in addition to the usual fees.
