CHINA Porcelain two-figure group depicting a man seated on a pierced rock, holding a cup in his right hand and carrying a young woman seated on his left thigh, with polychrome decoration in Famille Rose enamels. 18th century, Qianlong period (1735-1796), circa 1770. H. 18 cm. Restoration to the ends. Bibliography : The Copeland Collection, Chinese and Japanese Ceramic Figures, W.R. Sargent, USA, 1991, for a similar group on the cover and pp. 130-131, no. 59; another group is in the Rijksmuseum and reproduced in Chinese Ceramics in the Collection of the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, C.J.A. Jörg, London, 1997, p. 226, no. 256. This lot is subject to temporary importation. The buyer must pay import charges of 5.5% (6.6% incl. VAT) of the hammer price, in addition to the usual fees.
