CHINA Two enameled cookie figures decorated in the green family palette representing Taoist immortals seated on a pedestal. Kangxi period (1661-1722), circa 1700. H. 15.5 cm. Restorations to the hands. Bibliography: Two similar figures are preserved in the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, and reproduced in Chinese Ceramics in the Collection of the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, C.J.A. Jörg, London 1997, p. 191; see also Old Chinese Porcelain, E. Mew, plate III. This lot is a temporary import. The buyer must pay import charges of 5.5% (6.6% incl. VAT) of the hammer price, in addition to the usual fees. These additional costs may be refunded to the buyer on presentation of customs documents for export outside the European Union.
