750 thousandth yellow gold oval brooch, partly engraved with foliage, set with an oval miniature on ivory (Elephantidae spp*) depicting a young woman in mourning attire, set against a gray background. It bears a handwritten label on the back mentioning : Juliette Pepin de Bellisle, married to Henri Charles de Suyrot on January 12, 1847, died on May 31, 1868 in Nantes. French work, mid-19th century Brooch height: 4.5 cm Gross weight: 10.8 g (Damage and missing parts) *Ivory specimen of Elephantidae spp (I/A) pre-Convention, prior to July 1, 1947 and therefore compliant with EC Regulation 338/97 of 09/12/1996 art.2-Wmc, and prior to July 1, 1975 and therefore compliant with the French decrees of May 4, 2017 and January 2022. To leave the European Union, a CITES re-export permit is required.
