TWO oval MINIATURES on ivory (Elephantidae spp*), depicting an officer in blue uniform, yellow piping and epaulets, a woman in blue dress with ribbon. The portrait of a man bears a partially torn handwritten label on the back. Late 18th century In later oval gilt metal and blue velvet frames. Miniature height: 4.7 cm Frame height: 7.2 cm (Minor edge damage) *Ivory specimen of Elephantidae spp (I/A) pre-Convention, prior to July 1, 1947 and therefore compliant with EC Regulation 338/97 of 09/12/1996 art.2-Wmc, and prior to July 1, 1975 and therefore compliant with the French decrees of May 4, 2017 and January 2022. To leave the European Union, a CITES re-export permit is required.
