Patinated bronze and gilt bronze portefaix clock, resting on an oval base decorated of a monkey swinging between two palm trees. Early 19th century. H: 36 cm, W: 27 cm, D: 8.5 cm This model was probably made after a design by the bronze-maker Jean-André Reiche (1752-1817) dated circa 1808.
