Autograph poem entitled "Tu parlais". 18 verses on 2/3 p. in-4, on the front of a bifeuillet in-4 of laid paper. - Autograph poem: "Bien souvent, rêvasseur éternel des trottoirs... "12 verses on 1/2 p. in-4, on the front of a laid paper f.. - Autograph poetic sketch: "Wounded art lies on the edge of the sea...". 18 verses, one incomplete, on 1 p. 1/2 in-8 on a bifeuillet of laid paper. - Autograph poetic sketch: "... Toi qu'on sent dans le vent du rêve palpiter...". Quintil, including 2 unfinished verses on 1/4 p. in-4 on the recto of a f. of laid paper. - Autograph poem entitled "Le vin du souvenir" ("The wine of remembrance"). 16 tercets on 2 pp. in-12 of laid paper, additions and corrections. The title is a quotation from the poem "La chevelure" in Charles Baudelaire's Les Fleurs du mal. - Autograph poem: "Ta chair comme un beau fruit est douce..." (Your flesh, like a beautiful fruit, is sweet). Quatrain on 1/4 p. in-12 recto of one f. of laid paper. - Autograph poem: "Enfant douce, oh si douce, enfant cruelle aussi..." (Sweet child, oh so sweet, cruel child too...), in two versions with variants, each about 18 verses on 1 p. in-8, with numerous additions and corrections, including a few incomplete verses, on a bifeuillet of fragile paper with cracks. - Autograph poem: "Je voudrais bien t'avoir connu..." (I wish I had known you...). Approx. 28 tercets with numerous additions and corrections, on 1 p. 1/3 verso of an autograph letter signed by the writer Jules Bois and addressed to him (1890, concerning verses by Albert Samain to be published in the review L'Étoile). Some splitting at folds. - Autograph manuscript entitled "Tes cheveux" ("Your hair"). 45 verses, 2 crossed out and 3 incomplete, on 2 pp. - 4 autograph poems. About 40 verses in all, on 2 pp. in-4. Including: "En avril, quand le ciel met son habit Watteau..." ("In April, when the sky puts on its Watteau habit...") (16 lines); "Et j'écoute chanter aux traînes musicales..." (2 lines, apparently the last 2 of a sketched poem); "In a provincial town, where the grass grows..." (10 lines); "Traverser à pas lents le Pont-Royal..." (12 lines, about the booksellers on the quays of the Seine). - Autograph poem: "Une chevelure odorante / flotte dans la nuit transparente...". In several versions. 2 pp./4 in-8 on verso of a lithographed order of the day from Mercure de France (1894). With a long autograph note on a play project, citing Ibsen and Flaubert among others. Several of these pieces appear, with variants, among the "Poèmes inédits", in the edition of the OEuvres poétiques complètes procured by Christophe Carrère in 2015 from Editions Garnier. ATTACHED: SAMAIN (Albert). Autograph copy of the poem "Femmes damnées" from CHARLES BAUDELAIRE's Fleurs du mal. 16 quatrains on 6 pp. in-4. - Manuscript poem in another hand entitled "Désespérance".
