(1f.)-343 to 627f.-(13f.). First Paris edition of the Commentaires du maréchal Blaise de Montluc. The original edition was published by Millanges in Bordeaux in 1592, in both in-folio and in-8 format. Our edition is the third, an edition having been published in Lyon in 1593. The text is of capital importance for French military history, and long served as a soldier's breviary, as Henri IV called it. The text is followed by Tombeau de Messire Blaise de Montluc by Florimond de Raemond and Manes de Messire Blaise de Montluc by P. de Brach. Dirty vellum, with a few faint wet spots.
