Abbé MARTIN DU THEIL. Le livre terrible. Paris, Laville, 1842. In-8, green half-maroquin, smooth spine decorated (Period binding). Quérard, V-587 /// (2f.)-427. First edition of a collection of pieces extracted from works, newspapers, speeches... in favor of a return to monarchy. Copy from the library of the Prince of Dietrichstein, with his signature on the first endpaper. In 1815, he was appointed tutor to the Duke of Reichstadt, son of Napoleon and Marie Louise, and remained in this position until the eaglet's death on July 22, 1832.
