HORACE. Opera. Paris, Firmin Didot, 1855. In-16, morocco, triple fillet and diamond fleuron on covers, 5-nerved spine, interior lace, gilt edges (Hardy). Vicaire, IV-167 /// (2f.)-XLVI-(1f. blank)-299. One frontispiece, 8 out-of-text plates including 2 double-page plans and 11 photographically reproduced and laminated headbands. The 6 plates are landscape views after Benouville, the headbands are drawings by Barrias and the 2 plans were drawn by Rosa. A fine copy, despite rubbed hinges and the beginnings of a split in one spine.
