Earthenware plate with contoured rim featuring polychrome patriotic decoration with the three orders united: in the center an open cage crossed by the crook, the spade, the rake and the sword. Below, the inscription "W la liberté" and above, a bird in flight.
The "W" in Nevers stands for Vive.
The open cage symbolizes the liberation of the people of France.
Late 18th century, revolutionary period.
