Earthenware plate with contoured rim featuring a pre-Revolutionary polychrome "aux drapeaux" design: in the center a shield with three fleurs-de-lis crossed by flags at half-mast, wind instruments, a drum and cannonballs.
This decoration is an evolution of the pre-Revolutionary "flag" decoration.
Late 18th century, pre-revolutionary period.
D. 23 cm
