NEVERS Earthenware salad bowl with contoured rim and pre-Revolutionary polychrome "aux drapeaux" (flags) decoration: in the center a fleurdelys shield topped with a royal crown, crossed by two flags at half-mast, a drum, fifes and cannonballs. This decoration is an evolution of the pre-Revolutionary "flag" decoration. Late 18th century, pre-revolutionary period.
