JAPAN - EDO period (1603 - 1868), 19th century Inro with four ro-iro lacquer compartments decorated in taka maki-e with gold lacquer, gold leaf and mother-of-pearl inlay of a flowering rock. Gold nashiji lacquer interior (missing). H. 9 cm Octopus-shaped ivory ojime (Weight: 1 gram). Boxwood netsuke in the shape of a hat with a green-tinted bone oni. Signed Teizan.
