JAPAN - Late EDO period (1603 - 1868), 18th century Inro with two scented wood boxes (chenxiang) decorated in gold and red taka maki-e lacquer with cucurbits in foliage. Interior in gold nashiji lacquer. Signed Toyosai followed by kao. H. 8.1 cm Shibuichi ojime in the form of a bag of wealth and tama. Square-shaped Kagamibuta, lower part in metal, upper part in bamboo, decorated in hira maki-e in gold and silver lacquer and kirigane with two ningyo dolls (Wear).
