(date and autograph compliment), Paris, December 19, 1863. 1 p ½. in-4. Set including a letter requesting publication in newspapers of a note (the signed manuscript) having as its subject the Suez Canal Company. The note is heavily corrected and annotated. The note states: "Its entire basis is formed by means of a materially falsified text. Several essential documents and the most important facts are concealed, altered and suppressed. It contains false allegations and even personal defamation. [...] "
