In-8, brown morocco, mosaic flowers and leaves on covers with straight and dotted gilded fillets, 4-nerved spine decorated in the same way, lining in the same morocco with multiple mosaic floral motifs, brocaded silk endpapers with large floral motif, double endpapers, gilded edges on witnesses, cover and spine, case (René Kieffer - 1908). Monod II, 10109 /// (2f.)-141-(1f.). Wood-engraved compositions by Carlos Schwabe, including 9 hors-texte in bistre and black. The rest of the book is entirely illustrated with frames and ornaments on wood in monochrome gray. Edition of 120 copies, this one on vellum printed for Ch. Freund-Deschamps (no. 85). A very fine copy with 3 trial proofs of the frontispiece (etching, heliogravure and "Fortier et Marotte process").
