Vicaire, V-871 /// (2f.)-XXX-157. Translation by Chateaubriand preceded by Réflexions sur la vie et les écrits de Milton by Lamartine. Withdrawal of the 1855 edition adorned with portraits of Lamartine, Chateaubriand, Milton and 22 plates hors texte engraved by Pelée, Laugier... after Flatters. The collation differs from that of the first edition of 1855. Minor wear to binding, foxing to text.
