last painting by Jules Breton, Amour, presented at the 1905 Salon.
The model for the female figure was Adélaïde Ledet, who lived in Wissant.
A landscape painted by Jules Breton in 1904 entitled Chemin de la vallée d'Herlen, Wissant forms the background for the Amour composition.
