Cut-out pewter SOLAR DIAL engraved with the signs of the Zodiac and the months of the year represented by mythological figures. At the top, the inscription "Ainsi que l'ombre en peu d'heures se passe". At the base, three children, the central one brandishing the number twelve. Engraving by Adolphe Varin (1821-1897), French draftsman, engraver and photographer. Dated 1872. H. 204 cm - W. 156 cm.
