A flap-top secretary in architectural marquetry, opening to a drawer, two leaves revealing two drawers and a safe (handles added), and a flap-top revealing six drawers and four compartments, decorated with an architectural landscape animated by Chinese figures in a rocaille frame and surrounded by flowers, The Languedoc red marble top rests on simulated fluted canted jambs terminating in a cut-out apron base adorned with a bronze lion's head; (lock escutcheons reported at a later date). Stamped by Léonard Boudin and JME, cabinetmaker received as master in 1761. Louis XV period. H : 144 cm, W : 102 cm, D : 46 cm
