According to a documentary note affixed to the reverse, this panel was acquired in 1875 by the Orientalist painter Charles Landelle (Laval, 1821-Chennevières sur Marne, 1908) during one of his trips to Egypt or Jerusalem, and hung in his studio on Quai Voltaire, Paris.
