ROUEN Patronymic earthenware pitcher dated 1725, ovoid shape, flared neck, pinched spout with handle, decorated in blue and red on the front of the body with a large garland of flowers and foliage suspended in a rectangular reserve surrounded by a blue background braid decorated with white scrolls and red flowers, and on the sides of the body with baskets filled with flowers, foliage and pomegranates placed on consoles supported by foliage scrolls under suspended draperies, scrolls and shells, the neck decorated with suspended draperies surrounded by braids with blue background with scrolls and flowers, the handle decorated with foliage and under the handle the inscription in blue: "pour le petit thomas du Coudra - 1725", blue fillet on the foot.. H. 19 cm. Small repair to base. PROVENANCE Former Charles Antiq collection, April 3-6, 1895, no. 124 Former Laniel collection.
