Lh., 406 /// 65-(1f.). Original edition illustrated with 12 compositions by Paul Welsch, including the cover and 11 headpieces. Edition of 600 copies, this one of 500 on vergé pur fil Lafuma-Navarre (no. 120). Autograph letter signed To Claude Gezil (?) / André Maurois. Also by the same author: Les Silences du colonel Bramble. Paris, La Maison française, 1949. In-4, in sheets. 20 original full-page copperplates and 24 lettering by Berthommé Saint-André, the latter wood-engraved by Gérard Angiolini. One of the 20 first editions on pur chiffon, containing a copperplate and a suite and enriched with an original wash.
