SAINT-CLOUD Figure of Chinese in soft porcelain, seated on a terrace with green background, holding in holding a basket filled with flowers. 18th century, circa 1720-1740. H. 20 cm. A very similar Chinese porcelain of Saint-Cloud, also holding a basket of flowers, is in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. is in the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, and is reproduced in Christopher Maxwell, French Porcelain of the Eighteenth Century, 2009, no. 64, p. 71. Two Chinese figures in the same spirit in white enameled soft porcelain, from the former from the former David David-Weill collection and later the Pflueger collection are now in the Museum of Fine Arts Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and reproduced in Hugo Morley-Fletcher, Early European Porcelain and Faience as collected by Kiyi and Edward Pflueger, 1993, vol. 2, 1993, p. 50.
